So Glad You're Here!
My hope is that through our work together, you can begin to feel more at home within yourself and within your relationships. It is my goal to create an environment that is, in equal measure, both light-hearted and able to hold deep pain. I am your ally and your hype person, ready to help you explore, overcome, and kick ass! As a fellow millennial, our therapeutic relationship also taps into a collective understanding and shared experiences that have profoundly influenced our generation.
What It’s Like to Work Together
As your therapist, I care deeply about you and the experiences that have shaped your life. I love what I do and I wholly value the people I get to do it with. I remember your stories, your people (and pets), your Ws, and your Ls. Our work together is collaborative, intentional, and deeply human. I believe healing happens through connection. It’s in the safety of being truly seen, understood, and accepted that we feel empowered to let go of old, limiting narratives and reconnect with our inherent worth, that childlike wonder, remembering who you were before you were told how to show up and belong in the world.
You can count on me showing up each session with a crisp Alani in hand and real excitement to see you, the “I’ve been thinking about what we talked about last session and I can’t wait to check in” kind of excitement.
If you visit me in person, you will find a space curated specifically with comfort, ease, and butter on a biscuit kind of warmth in mind. When you enter the waiting room, you’ll find snacks and drinks on deck and a steady rotation of 90s music videos playing on the tv. The nostalgic sounds of Savage Garden and TLC are part of the healing process.
If we’re meeting virtually, I bring the same purposeful, homey energy right to your screen. Find a cozy spot, grab your beverage of choice, and settle in. You’re required welcome to spend the first couple of minutes sharing your pets. Show and tell is encouraged.
